PROJECTS

As an undergraduate at Yale University, I became fascinated with the representation of women and people of color in the American mass media. I used photography to examine what those images said about Latina identity in a social context. Through self-portraiture, I explored my personal relationship to Latina characters and their roles the formation of my own identity. My subsequent work continues to investigate themes of femininity, race, and the roles of those identities in popular culture.
